Crime Stoppers of Las Cruces-Doña Ana County has stepped in to offer a reward of up to $1,000 for valuable information that could lead to swiftly apprehending the individual or individuals responsible for this violent act.
According to the Las Cruces Police Department, on July 17, around 2:00 pm, officers were dispatched following reports of a vehicular crash in the 900 block of Melendres. It appears that the victim's vehicle had plowed through multiple yards before he became trapped inside his vehicle, a distressing scene revealing the urgency of violence that had unfolded.
Upon arrival, first responders discovered the driver suffering from gunshot wounds, an injury they determined had occurred before the crash. This sequence confirms a narrative far bleaker than a mere automotive accident, highlighting the pervasive presence of gun violence within the fibers of daily life.
Investigators are now eagerly seeking to track down a sedan, said to be a key piece in this criminal puzzle. Described as an unknown make or model, the 4-door sedan is either silver or gray.
