Residents of Laurel, mark your calendars and adjust your waste disposal plans. The Department of Public Works has announced an altered collection schedule for the Labor Day Holiday, observed on September 2nd. Heads up to Monday customers — your trash, recycling, and composting will now be picked up on Tuesday, September 3rd. Following suit, Tuesday's collections will shift to Wednesday, September 4th. But worry not, for those with Wednesday to Friday pick-ups, your schedule remains untouched, according to the City of Laurel's official announcement
These rescheduled services will ensure that all residents receive their waste collection promptly despite the observance of the holiday. What's more, there will be no bulky item pickup or yard debris collection on Wednesday, September 4, so you'll have to hold on to those larger items and garden refuse for a little longer. The services resume on September 11.
For those inquisitive minds or anyone needing further clarification, the Department of Public Works is at your service via email at [email protected] to answer any questions about the holiday schedule adjustments.
