
Livermore officers apprehended a 26-year-old man, Arturo Morales of Livermore, for his alleged role in a shooting aimed at an occupied vehicle. According to the Livermore Police Department, the incident unfolded on July 17 after authorities received calls about gunfire exchanged between two vehicles.

Witnesses shared that the incident took place around the intersection of Ora Street and Rincon Avenue, where the suspect, in a white Ford F-150, allegedly followed and fired several shots at a blue Honda Civic, one round of which struck the Honda. Despite the dangerous circumstances, no injuries were reported. The investigative work led by the Livermore Police's Criminal Investigations Bureau pointed to Morales, whom authorities believe may have connections to gang activities.
Morales's residence was the scene of his arrest last Wednesday when police executed a search warrant and uncovered a 9mm handgun and ammunition. The charges against him include shooting at an occupied vehicle, two counts of assault with a deadly weapon, felon in possession of a firearm, felon in possession of ammunition, and permitting another to shoot from a vehicle.
