
Last week, in West Seattle, a man was critically injured after his vehicle collided with a telephone pole. According to a Seattle Police Department blotter post, the incident occurred in the early morning hours of August 18th. Seattle police officers and firefighters were quickly to respond at the scene after a report of the crash was made.
Upon their arrival on the 4500 block of West Marginal Way Southwest, emergency responders found the male victim ejected from the vehicle. They acted fast, applying tourniquets to both of his legs, effectively saving his life. In the unfortunate turn of events, one of his legs had been severed. The victim was immediately transported to Harborview Medical Center, reported in serious condition with life-threatening injuries.
