
Chicago witnessed yet another act of violence Thursday night, leaving a 34-year-old man critically wounded in what police believe stemmed from a fight. The incident unfolded shortly before 11:45 p.m. in the Englewood neighborhood, specifically in the 5500 block of South Wood Street, according to the Chicago Tribune.
As reported by the Chicago Tribune, a male pulled out a gun after an altercation and fired shots, striking the victim in the back and abdomen.
Following the incident, the victim was promptly taken to UChicago Medicine, where he was listed in critical condition, having suffered multiple gunshot wounds. While grappling for life, capturing the alleged shooter, police took one person into custody, as detailed by FOX 32 Chicago.
