
A tragic incident unfolded in the small community of unincorporated Harvard, where a 40-year-old man lost his life in a rollover car crash. The sad turn of events took place on August 13, when emergency crews were dispatched to the scene of the accident in the 9900 block of Lawrence Road following a 9:36 am call, as reported by the McHenry County Sheriff's Office.
The sheriff's office stated that a 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee was headed south on Lawrence Road before veering off to the east and rolling several times the vehicle eventually came to a stop, upright, in a cornfield, this information was detailed on the sheriff’s official website, the driver, who was the only person in the Jeep, was ejected and pronounced dead at the location. The driver's identity has not yet been released, pending notification of next of kin.
