
A fatal shooting in Austin, Chicago claimed the life of a 40-year-old man on Monday afternoon, according to Chicago police. WGN-TV reports that the incident occurred near the 4800 block of West Madison Street at approximately 4:15 p.m.
Investigators detailed that, while on the sidewalk, the victim was approached by a vehicle. Following this, gunshots were fired from within the car leading to multiple wounds that would prove fatal. After being rapidly transported to Mount Sinai Hospital, while suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, the man was pronounced dead, as detailed by the Chicago Sun-Times.
