The streets of Baltimore were reminded of their fragile peace as gunfire broke the silence early this morning in the Western District. According to a media advisory by the Baltimore Police Department, officers were dispatched to a local hospital at around 1:42 a.m., following reports of a man who suffered a gunshot wound.
Upon arrival, the police found a 44-year-old male with an injury from gunfire that, thankfully, was not deemed life-threatening. With a bullet tearing through flesh while he walked in the 300 block of North Warwick Avenue, the victim had managed to make his way to the hospital. The Western District has since been canvassing for witnesses and any snippet of evidence that might piece together the scant details of this shooting.
The call for community assistance echoes through the wounded avenues, with detectives urging anyone with information to contact the Western District at 410-396-2477. Alternatively, witnesses who wish to remain anonymous can reach out to Metro Crime Stoppers by dialing 1-866-7Lockup.
