
The City of Mankato bids farewell to a stalwart of public safety as Director Amy Vokal steps down from her role, wrapping up over three decades of dedicated service. Vokal, who has been a part of the Mankato Public Safety since December 1992, has left a significant mark on the community through her persistent commitment to safeguarding its citizens, as per the Mankato Police and Fire.
In a recent post shared on the Mankato Police and Fire Facebook page, the department didn't just announce Vokal's retirement but also recognized her tireless work ethic, stating, "Amy joined Public Safety in December 1992 and she has been dedicated to serving the citizens everyday since."
Director Vokal leaves her post officially today, with the department declaring, "3145 is off shift forever!!"
