In a move aimed at bolstering the health defenses of its community, Maricopa County Public Health is rolling out a Free Vaccination Event for Maricopa residents. Set to take place at the Tolleson Civic Center, the event addresses essential vaccinations, including Hepatitis A & B, TDAP, and MMR for adults aged 19 and older, as shared by the county in a recent announcement.
Slated for August 13, the initiative underscores a no-cost approach to healthcare. Vaccines will be available free of charge, a boon for those uninsured or underinsured - although individuals with Medicare should note that only COVID-19 and Flu vaccines fall under this free offering. Details about the program, reported by the official City of Tolleson website, highlight the inclusive nature of the clinic's services.
With accessibility being a key consideration, Maricopa County Public Health invites individuals needing special accommodations to reach out prior to the event. Parents or guardians are reminded, that children under 18 will need consent for vaccinations. The Tolleson Civic Center, the venue for the event, can be found at 9055 W. Van Buren St., Tolleson, AZ 85353, and the free clinic will operate between 1:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. For additional information or to make arrangements for disability facilities, the CARES Center can be contacted at 602-506-6767.
