
The Metropolitan Police Department is currently on the lookout for a suspect involved in a retail theft incident in Northwest D.C. Law enforcement officials have reached out to the public to aid in the identification of the individual responsible for the crime.
Last month, on July 17, the suspect, operating alone, entered a retail store in the 1600 block of 14th Street, Northwest. During the incident, which took place around 2:00 p.m., merchandise was taken from two separate locations within the store. After the theft, the suspect managed to evade capture and has been at large ever since, fleeing from the scene with the stolen goods, as noted by the Metropolitan Police Department.
The department has not yet released a detailed description of the suspect or indicated whether surveillance images or footage will be made available to assist in the search. Anyone with details that could possibly lead to an apprehension, as encouraged by the authorities, should contact the Metropolitan Police Department.
