
In a recent turn of events in Milpitas, a suspect responsible for a violent necklace snatching has been taken into custody by local law enforcement. The Milpitas Police Department reported the arrest on their Facebook page, crediting the rapid response of their detectives. The crime took place on Tuesday, near the 180 block of W. Calaveras Boulevard, at just past 10 in the morning.
Despite driving away in a white SUV, detectives' efforts to identify the individual paid off. The suspect, a 31-year-old man from Oregon, was apprehended at about 1:33 PM the following day. Milpitas Police Department's Facebook page details that with the arrest, they aim to connect with potential additional victims of recent chain snatch robberies.
The suspect's photograph has been disseminated to find others who might have suffered at their hands. Further detailing the importance of public awareness, the police statement emphasized the significance of being cognizant of one's environment and maintaining a safe distance from unknown individuals.
