
Residents of Milton looking to enjoy the scenic Bell Memorial Park might need to adjust their plans as the park is due for a little facelift. Starting next week, splashes of new paint will adorn elements of the popular leisure spot, with certain areas being roped off while the work is underway. According to an announcement from the City of Milton, Georgia, the refresh includes painting the exteriors of buildings within the park, including the restrooms, and the athletic equipment like football goalposts and baseball field foul poles.
For those planning a picnic or a kickabout, be aware that as of Tuesday, September 3, not every nook and cranny will be available for use. CertaPro Painters, the crew responsible for the painting, anticipates the project will span roughly two weeks.
The Milton Parks and Recreation Department also commissioned CertaPro Painters to revamp the front porch at the Bethwell Community Center. Milton's residents can expect this upgrade to occur concurrently with the work at Bell Memorial Park, meaning the fresh paint smell will be wafting through more than one local spot this September.
While we might have to temporarily forgo our leisurely strolls or park activities, the promise of a spruced-up space is generally something to look forward to.
