Heads up, Minneapolis residents: as you gear up for your Labor Day barbecues and final summer soirees, take note that the city is taking a break too. According to the official city announcement, all Minneapolis City government offices, including their 311 service and the Minneapolis Service Center on Fourth Ave. S., will be closed this upcoming Monday, September 2, in observance of Labor Day.
As reported by the City of Minneapolis, trash and recycling will resume on Tuesday, September 3. Metered parking won't be enforced on September 2, but check individual meters for private or specific enforcement details.
Amid all this downtime, don't worry about the city going unprotected; Minneapolis police, fire, and emergency services are running at full throttle. And naturally, 911 services won't be hitting pause, as per the City of Minneapolis.
