Curious about what goes on behind the badge in Minnetonka? Now's your chance to find out. The Minnetonka Police Department has opened registrations for its annual Police Academy, a nine-week public education program designed to give residents an insider's view of police workings.
The program, set to run from Sept. 25 through Nov. 20, will hold sessions every Wednesday at 6 p.m., providing participants with insights into various aspects of law enforcement. Topics include investigations, crime analysis, forensics, and emergency response, among others. Space is limited for this sought-after course, according to the City of Minnetonka. "The academy fills quickly."
Aside from the core topics, attendees will also get the chance to learn about K9 units, crime prevention strategies, and traffic management, as per the City of Minnetonka. Those interested in joining should visit the Minnetonka Police Department's official website to register.
