Brenna Swindell, the 29-year-old daughter of former Major League Baseball pitcher Greg Swindell, has been located in Klamath Falls, Oregon, after she was reported missing in Travis County, Texas. According to KOIN, the young woman was discovered during a traffic stop at 12:32 a.m. yesterday by Klamath Falls Police. Present with her was 36-year-old Morgan Guidry, her ex-boyfriend who was wanted out of Texas for felony domestic violence charges. Brenna Swindell was last seen at a bar with Guidry on August 22 before being reported missing.
Utilizing a recent technological implementation by local law enforcement, a license plate reader installed just months earlier alerted authorities to Brenna's vehicle as it entered Klamath Falls. "An alert about the couple was in a national database," says Captain Rob Reynolds of Klamath Falls Police Department, which was reported by FOX 7 Austin. It was the license plate reader that tagged Brenna's car, leading to the eventual traffic stop and identification of the individuals. After their vehicle was stopped, Brenna and Guidry were found inside it by police.
The Travis County Sheriff's Office had been searching for the missing woman since she was officially reported missing on Saturday. The Oregonian confirms that Brenna Swindell was last seen publicly at a bar with Guidry before they vanished, elevating concerns for her safety amidst the context of Guidry's outstanding charges.
Guidry, who had been sought on charges unrelated to the disappearance, was promptly arrested following the traffic stop.
