Two individuals from Nashville found themselves in the custody of the Mt. Juliet Police after being pulled over for speeding on Interstate 40 East. The routine traffic stop took a serious turn when officers discovered firearms and narcotics in the vehicle. According to WSMV, a man and a woman now face multiple charges.
The 29-year-old woman, initially attempting to avoid police scrutiny, gave false information when stopped. However, her ruse was short-lived as law enforcement conducted a search, uncovering two guns, one of which had its serial number removed, along with crack cocaine, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia. As reported by WKRN, the woman's charges include criminal impersonation, possession of marijuana and cocaine with intent to distribute, and possession of a firearm during an felony. She also had an existing warrant from Robertson County.
Accompanying her was a 45-year-old man, who now faces allegations of being a felon in possession of a firearm and possession of cocaine with intent to resell. Further compounding his legal troubles is the charge of altering a firearm’s serial number among other related offenses. This information was corroborated by a statement published on X, a social media platform.
