A tragic automobile collision at the crossroads of Knight and Ewing Drives last Saturday evening has resulted in the death of one man and injuries to three others, including two minors. According to the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department, the accident involved a Chevrolet Impala and a FedEx tractor-trailer.

Victim Richard E. Frazer, 48, was declared deceased after his vehicle was struck by the oncoming truck. Frazer's passengers, a 36-year-old woman and two minors, aged 3 and 15, amidst the chaos, were rushed to Vanderbilt with injuries, the youngest of whom is facing life-threatening conditions.

Evidence collected from the scene indicates the Impala, traveling west on Ewing Drive, failed to adhere to the stop sign, then attempting to turn left onto Knight Drive, found itself in the path of the northbound truck. The FedEx vehicle, despite the driver's attempt to brake, collided with the Impala's driver's side. Emergency responders had to extricate Frazer from the wreckage before transporting him to Skyline Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries.

The truck driver, age 61, emerged from the accident unscathed. Officers at the scene found no evidence of impairment from either driver and, as such, have indicated that no charges are expected to be filed in connection to the fatal incident, enveloped by the night.
