A vehicle incident in Boston's Roxbury neighborhood yesterday afternoon left a silver sedan precariously propped against a residential building. According to WHDH, Boston police arrived at the scene to find the car had barreled through a fence before coming to rest against a house on Logan Street. Remarkably, no injuries were reported in the collision.
The unusual sight of the car's front wheels suspended over a void between the road and the house captured the attention of local residents. Boston 25 News mentioned that the incident occurred around 3:45 p.m., near the Logan and Thornton Street intersection. The car managed to take down part of a fence in the process, leading to Inspectional Services being notified to assess the integrity of the impacted home.
Authorities are still trying to piece together what led up to the crash, with the cause remaining under active investigation. The unexpected event left the neighborhood grappling with the surreal scene and relieved that the outcome wasn't more dire.
Despite the presence of emergency personnel, Boston police have not been able to confirm whether anyone was harmed during the incident. As clean-up operations commence and officials continue to investigate, the community is left to ponder how quickly everyday locales can become the backdrop for unanticipated hazards. Inspectional Services will be closely examining the building for potential structural damage.
