O'Hare International Airport has upped its game with the addition of five new concessions in Terminal 5, as was widely celebrated today. The Chicago Department of Aviation (CDA) was proud to showcase hometown favorites like Publican Quality Bread and Metropolis Coffee Company, alongside retail outlets such as InMotion and BLVD & Branch, all aimed at enhancing the traveler's experience at one of the busiest airports in the world.

In a series of grand openings, CDA Commissioner Jamie L. Rhee spoke on behalf of Mayor Brandon Johnson and underscored the importance of the airport in reflecting Chicago's vibrant and diverse community. "It’s an incredibly dynamic time at Terminal 5, and I was thrilled to join our concessions partners to welcome these new brands on behalf of Mayor Brandon Johnson today," Rhee commented, according to the City of Chicago's official announcement. The commissioner pointed out the significance of the addition of businesses such as Publican Quality Bread, known for their long-fermented baked goods and run by HMSHost in partnership with the One Off Hospitality Group.

Publican Quality Bread's pride in their airport partnership was evident in the words of One Off Hospitality partner Donnie Madia. Delighted about the new opening, he said, "We love our airport partnership with the City of Chicago and HMSHost," pointing to a fruitful continuation of the collaboration that has already seen Publican Tavern set up shop in Terminal 3, as stated by the City of Chicago. Metropolis Coffee Company, a local coffee brand heralded as "Roaster of the Year" by Roast Magazine, also shared in the excitement, with Metropolis partners Sulaiman and Farhana Rahim expressing their journey as a father-daughter duo and ACDBE (Airport Concession Disadvantaged Business Enterprise) companies, culminating in the unique opportunity to serve O'Hare's travelers.

But the offerings aren't just about the finest pastries and java. Retail opportunities have also expanded, with InMotion debuting at its sixth O'Hare location and BLVD & Branch bringing a slice of local flair to the airport shopping scene. Named after the six points on Chicago's flag, Six Points Market, inside the other newly developed stores, sells items ranging from Chicago-themed souvenirs to essential travel accessories.
