An Oakland County man, Logan Joseph Sutherland, age 21, faces charges related to the sexual assault of four boys after his recent arrest in Waterford. According to CBS News Detroit, Waterford Township police presented charges to Sutherland, who was arraigned with a $100,000 bond for four counts of second-degree criminal sexual conduct and two counts of possessing child sexually abusive material.

The investigation unfolded when detectives investigated a complaint involving a 10-year-old victim whom Sutherland allegedly spent time with between 2021 and 2023 on 30 to 40 occasions, as reported by FOX 2 Detroit; post-arrest, three additional victims stepped forward, all of whom were acquainted with Sutherland, the accused used his acquaintanceship with parents to gain their trust and then exploit it for reprehensible acts with their children.

Upon his arrest, investigators confiscated Sutherland's cell phone and discovered photos and videos of naked boys, including several individuals not among the four known victims to date, WXYZ reports. Assaults were multifarious in their location, perpetrated at venues such as Sutherland's home, local entertainment centers Zap Zone, Sportway, and SkyZone in Commerce Township.

Detective Rachel White from the Waterford police is asking the community to share any information about children who may have been in contact with Sutherland. Sutherland's pre-trial hearing is set for September 10, and photos suggest there may be additional victims not yet recognized by authorities.
