
Authorities in Ojai are reaching out to the public for assistance following a hit-and-run collision that left a male adult injured. The incident occurred in the 300 Block of Lion Street on the evening of August 22, 2024. According to a media release provided by the Ojai Police Station, at approximately 8:43 P.M. a pedestrian was struck by a gray Toyota Prius, which subsequently fled the scene.
The victim, a 40-year-old Ojai resident, was pushed into a parked vehicle from the impact. He sustained moderate injuries and was later transported to a hospital by paramedics. The authorities are now seeking information about the gray Prius, which may exhibit damage to the passenger side. Detective Joseph Sharif prepared the release and is the point of contact for any information regarding the accident.
Ventura County Crime Stoppers has offered a reward of up to $1,000 for any information leading to an arrest and criminal complaint against the person(s) responsible for this crime, as emphasized in the report.
