Further ensued panic, reports indicate that the gunfire between the disputes of two groups endangered multiple others at the venue, where individuals found themselves caught in the crossfire.

During the incident at the nightclub located at 5560 Shelby Oaks Drive, police discovered the first victim in the venue's ladies' restroom, suffering from a gunshot wound, as detailed by WREG. An officer was attending to this victim when they learned her daughter too had been grazed by a bullet. Two other individuals were also injured during the event.

Investigators, according to FOX13 Memphis, connected the white 2015 Dodge Charger seen fleeing the scene to Clemons. This, coupled with victim statements and photographic lineups was crucial in identifying both Clemons and Walls as suspects.
