Palm Beach is set to see some changes to its parking situation starting this week, with new rules and signage expected to last through October. According to an announcement from CBS12, the midtown area between Seaview Avenue and Hammon Avenue is the focus of these changes, which are in response to the Town Council's initiative to streamline parking in Palm Beach.

The new regulations include parking between Seaview Avenue and Hammon Avenue in the 100-400 blocks being solely reserved for Residential Parking Permit (RPP) holders, effective all day and night. ParkMobile paid parking will now be enforced from 9:00 am to midnight. In an effort to ease the transition, residents with pink Town-issued bumper stickers are permitted to park in any ParkMobile space for up to two hours at to no cost.

Accompanying the introduction of these new parking rulings, the town has started installing new parking signs that delineate the specifics of the RPP and ParkMobile programs. The Town of Palm Beach website states that once a new sign goes up, enforcement officers will initially issue written warnings for a one-week period to allow local drivers to become familiar with the new system ahead of actual citations.

Furthermore, the Town has announced that details regarding sticker renewal will subsequently be made available in the weeks to come. This is part of the seven-point plan by the Town Council to tackle parking issues in Palm Beach. These changes are expected to improve the parking experience in the Town and ensure RPP holders always have access to spaces.
