During this nostalgia fest in Atlanta, expect to see, four custom murals by local artists E.L. Chisolm and Yuzly Mathurin—blending the city's contemporary art scene with its storied past, as Complex notes. There's also sighting a West Coast Customs-designed replica of Kevin Hart's character's '66 Cadillac Calais.
Moving from the street to dining, Atlanta's Black-owned businesses are joining. Paschal’s is offering sweet teas for just 50¢, towhile Copper Cove is serving up cocktails for $10, these establishments aren't just rolling back prices, they’re embracing the '70s vibe. As FOX 5 Atlanta reports, it is a celebration of the series and its connection to Atlanta's history.
And to these businesses, this is a tribute. In a statement obtained by Complex, this activation honors the city’s history while highlighting present-day institutions that are integral to Atlanta’s narrative.
Paschal’s is serving famous fried chicken sandwiches, while the rooftop bar at Clermont Hotel is mixing drinks with Black-owned spirits. Tu La 2 Nail Salon is offering discounted manicures and more. Sublime Donuts on 10th St NW is selling chocolate and vanilla donuts for just 25¢ each.
