The incident occurred yesterday afternoon, and Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies along with Oakland Park Fire Rescue crews were dispatched to the scene near 2900 N. Dixie Highway. The extent of the pedestrian's injuries proved fatal.
The collision took place in Wilton Manors, but the pedestrian was dragged toward Oakland Park by the commuter train. Aerial footage captured by 7Skyforce depicted a distressing scene with a yellow tarp covering the body on a bridge that delineates Wilton Manors from Oakland Park, as reported by WSVN. As a result of the train stopping at Oakland Park Boulevard, traffic was heavily congested in the area.
