The Pembroke Pines Police Department is asking for the public's help to locate a missing woman, Ana Lucia Casares, aged 53, who they believe may be experiencing a mental health crisis. Casares was last seen on foot near Century Village on Wednesday evening, according to WSVN. Standing 5 feet, 2 inches tall and weighing approximately 105 pounds, she was wearing red pants, a gray jacket, and was carrying a green and yellow handbag at the time of her disappearance.
Concern is growing for her wellbeing as Casares, who has brown hair and is diagnosed with bipolar schizophrenia, made suicidal threats before she left her home. She also suffers with epilepsy and has not been taking her medication, which adds to the urgency of her situation. The police underscored the necessity of finding her as swiftly as possible due to the potential danger she may be in.
The search for Ana Casares has extended to the general public, with social media also amplifying the request for assistance. The Pembroke Pines Police on X provided a contact for those who might have information, asking them to reach out to Detective Pinzon at 954-873-4909.
