Peoria residents and visitors might need to prepare for detours and a bit of extra traffic around Arrowhead Fountains Center Drive come April 2025. In a move to ensure smoother drives and safer roads, the city will be revamping the asphalt. According to an announcement on the Peoria official website, crews will be diligently working to remove the old asphalt and lay down a fresh pavement overlay not just on Arrowhead Fountains Center Drive, but also on stretches of Paradise Lane, Stadium Way, and Mariners Way west of 83rd Avenue.
In an effort to swiftly advance the project, work commences this week and will extend through October, with construction activities carried out nightly from 11 p.m. to 10 a.m. To ensure safety and efficiency, traffic will be re-routed away from the work zones, and left turns might temporarily become a thing of the past in the construction areas.
For those frequenting the adjacent businesses, patience will be a necessary virtue as entrances could be out of service for one to three days when necessary. However, these businesses will remain accessible via alternative driveways during such closures.
