
Following a grim discovery in Pomona, local law enforcement has taken 33-year-old Jamell Dlane Collier into custody in connection with the murder of Ollie Mason Jones, detailed an official statement from the Pomona Police Department. On August 16, police officers found the 39-year-old victim, Ollie Jones, unresponsive with multiple stab wounds in a bathtub on W. Third St., Pomona, authorities investigating the case have worked swiftly, piecing together evidence that led them to identify Collier as a suspect involved in the fatal incident.
With coordination between the Pomona Police Department's Major Crimes Unit and other agencies, Collier was apprehended on August 19 in Los Angeles, and the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office has since filed a murder charge against him, the charge specifically noted as 187 (a) PC – Murder. The police have emphasized that their investigation is far from over, they continue to solicit information from the public which might shed further light on the circumstances leading to Jones's death.
