
A fatal hit-and-run incident in Port St. Lucie has taken the life of a 37-year-old moped rider. The collision occurred late Friday night at the intersection of Southwest Airoso Boulevard and Southwest Todd Avenue, as reported by CBS12. Authorities arrived on the scene around 11:15 p.m. to discover that a black truck, believed to be either a Dodge or GMC, had struck the individual and continued driving southbound after the collision.
The victim, succumbed to their injuries after being rushed to Lawnwood Hospital, has yet to be publicly named pending notification of next of kin. The Port St. Lucie Police Department released information, through a social media post mentioned by WPTV, asking the community for assistance in tracking down the hit-and-run driver.
Investigators are currently urging anyone with information relevant to the crash to come forward. Especially crucial could be identifying details of the black truck implicated in the fatal event, which was last seen fleeing south on Southwest Airoso Boulevard.
