Ramsey County's workforce landscape is set to evolve with recent leadership changes at the Workforce Innovation Board (WIB). According to information provided by the Ramsey County website, incoming Chair-elect Yolanda McIntosh is poised to take over WIB's reins, bringing her expertise in diversity, equity, and inclusion to the forefront. McIntosh, who serves as Director of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion at Associated General Contractors of MN, is to become WIB Chair in 2025, replacing the outgoing Susan Jambor.
With the addition of newcomers Tami Cybulski and Bryan Kuzel on August 8, the WIB is gearing up for a fresh perspective. Welcomed by the Workforce Solutions Director Ling Becker, by virtue of her role, McIntosh is praised for her pivotal contributions to creating a more inclusive construction industry in Ramsey County. "Her many years of experience working to building more inclusive pathways into construction will be pivotal for the WIB," Becker remarked in an interview obtained by the Ramsey County website.
Bringing experience from the financial sector, Cybulski, an AVP of Human Resources at Blaze Credit Union, was appointed to the WIB by the Ramsey County Board. Ready to put her HR prowess to use, Cybulski stated, "I am eager to contribute to Ramsey County's growth and prosperity by leveraging my HR expertise for workforce development initiatives." Similarly, Kuzel steps into his role with an HR background from Mississippi Market, including strategic planning and talent development skills, bringing a comprehensive approach to workforce evolution.
The WIB, responsible for guiding Minnesota's public workforce system known as CareerForce, will also see ten reappointed members, including notable figures such as Trish Stevens and Saint Paul Area Chamber's John "JP" Perlich, who continue their terms. " I am excited to work with her to build upon our existing partnerships and create new ones," Becker said, looking forward to McIntosh's tenure as the WIB seeks to leverage infrastructure funding opportunities.
