On the evening of Thursday, August 8, just after 9:00 p.m., the Lake Mathews Sheriff’s Station received a report of a robbery at gunpoint occurring in the 11100 block of Evergreen Loop. According to the victim, the confrontation was sparked by an advertisement on the online marketplace OfferUp.
The responding deputies swiftly launched an investigation, which led to the identification of the suspect — a 15-year-old male juvenile. According to the Riverside County Sheriff's Office, the young suspect was found near a residence on Tesota Loop Street, in possession of items connected to the crime. He was arrested and booked into Juvenile Hall for robbery, as the inquiry into the details of the incident continues.
