Gunfire shattered San Francisco's Tenderloin District yesterday night, leading to multiple victims and sparking an intense investigation by local authorities. According to the San Francisco Police Department, officers responded to a shot spotter activation around 10:49 p.m. on the 1000 block of Market Street.
The swift response led them to the intersection of 6th and Market, where an adult male was found with life-threatening gunshot wounds. After medics and officers attempted to provide aid, he was transported to a local hospital for emergency care. In a nearby location, at 7th and Stevenson Streets, another man was located, also with a gunshot injury, though his wounds were reported as non-life-threatening. A third victim, discovered on the same block where the shots were first detected, was taken to the hospital with serious injuries and, despite all efforts to save him, was later pronounced dead.
This incident now falls under the jurisdiction of the SFPD Homicide Detail, which has taken the lead in this ongoing investigation. As of now, no arrests have been made, and the circumstances surrounding the shooting remain unclear.
