The search operation encompassed both sea and air assets, with divers plunging into the lake's depths, water rescue boats dotting the vicinity, and the Chicago Fire Department deploying a helicopter to improve visibility and broaden the search scope, as per NBC Chicago.
Meanwhile, confirming the ongoing efforts, Chicago police, shared that they are actively investigating at Foster Beach in Edgewater after receiving a distress call about a male swimmer who has since disappeared, as detailed by WGN-TV.
