Curious about how Sherburne County is combating environmental degradation and preserving the land? Here's your chance to get up close and personal with the local efforts. According to Sherburne County, on September 20, the Soil & Water Conservation District invites the Sherburne County Commissioners to a comprehensive tour of conservation practices.
Running from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at The Buff, located at 167222-198th Ave. in Big Lake, this isn't your average nature walk. Attendees, which may include all or some of the County Commissioners, will be treated to an eclectic mix of presentations. From agricultural education to a rainfall simulation, participants will have a variety of educational experiences to enjoy, most notably a native prairie plant identification seminar and an electroshocking demonstration for carp, as detailed by Sherburne County.
