
Needles, CA became the scene of law enforcement action on July 31, when local police apprehended 51-year-old Ruben Medrano, a suspect in a grand theft auto case. Officials made contact with Medrano around 6:22 p.m. during a routine pedestrian stop at the intersection of Market Street and W Broadway Street. It was then discovered that Medrano had an existing felony warrant for his arrest under the California Vehicle Code 10851(A), linked to the alleged auto theft, as reported by the Colorado River Sheriff's Department.
A subsequent arrest was made, and Medrano was taken to the Colorado River Station jail for booking. His bail has been set at $50,000.00, and he remains in custody pending a court hearing, as per the Colorado River Sheriff's Department. The identity of the victim in the case remains confidential at this time.
