The Watertown Police Department, alongside collaborators from the Newton Police Department, has successfully arrested a man believed to be behind a series of break-ins. Jonathan Quintanilla from Newton is the suspect apprehended in connection with the property crimes that occurred over the last weekend. The cooperation between the two police departments, and the assistance of the public, played a pivotal role in his capture.
"Chief Hanrahan would like to thank the public for helping us in this endeavor," was the message delivered on behalf of the Watertown Police Department via a Facebook post. Authorities also remarked that Quintanilla may have been spotted "in person, or on camera at other residences," suggesting his potential connection to more incidents. Anyone with information that could further aid the investigation is encouraged to quickly contact Detective Jenn Connors at 617-972-1310.
Details regarding the specific number of break-ins and the nature of the evidence linking Quintanilla to these crimes have not been fully disclosed yet. However, the Watertown and Newton police departments have emphasized the importance of community involvement in both preventing and solving crime, clearly highlighted in this case by the public's participation.
