WFAA reported that the situation began after North Richland Hills police responded to a call regarding a domestic disturbance in the 7900 block of Harwood Road at around noon last Saturday. According to police, the suspect was actively assaulting a victim and fled the scene in a car once officers arrived.
After striking a police vehicle while trying to evade law enforcement, the suspect's vehicle was disabled, prompting him to refuse exit. As described by the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, officers then fired several rounds of gas through the front windshield of the suspect’s vehicle, culminating in his capture. The precise location of the standoff was confirmed to be on Davis Boulevard, as the suspect's aggressive behavior warranted the intervention of the SWAT team to resolve the escalating situation.
