Last night, just after 1:30 a.m., San Jose Police Department officers raced to a report of an armed carjacking occurring on the south side of San Jose. This incident was detailed in a brief statement released by the San Jose Police Department.
Last night, just after 1:30 a.m., patrol officers responded to an armed carjacking in south San Jose. During the course of the investigation, surrounding units located a suspicious male on foot who matched the suspect description.

According to the San Jose Police Department, in the wake of the reported carjacking, patrol officers located an individual whose description matched that of the suspect. It was during an on-foot patrol that the suspect was spotted. Officers executed an enforcement stop on a 16-year-old male, found in possession of a loaded stolen Glock with an extended magazine concealed upon his person.
The authorities have confirmed that the youth was indeed involved in the carjacking incident. He was subsequently placed under arrest and the recovered vehicle was returned to its rightful owner. He faced carjacking, brandishing a weapon, and multiple felony gun charges.
