The Tennessee Department of Education has rolled out its shortlist of individuals contending for the titles of 2024-25 Tennessee Principal of the Year and Supervisor of the Year. Recognized for their dedication and service, the nominees hail from each of the state's CORE regions, diligently classified into West, Middle, and East categories, with three finalists per Grand Division.
According to the official announcement, the Principal of the Year must have a record of driving improvement in their school, with a notable emphasis on student learning gains. This individual must also possess a minimum of three years of principal experience and five years in the Tennessee public school system.
