
A tragic occurrence unfolded late Friday night in Woodridge, a west Chicago suburb, where authorities are now piecing together the details of a situation that left three individuals dead in what is being investigated as a murder-suicide. According to CBS News Chicago, the incident took place in a residence near Highway 53 and 83rd Street, where four people, including two children, were fortunate enough to have gotten out alive as shots were fired within the home.
While the Woodridge Police have yet to release the identities or the connection between the victims, they have confirmed that there is no ongoing threat to the public, as per ABC7Chicago. Woodridge Police Chief Tom Stefanson disclosed to ABC7 Chicago that a female and two juveniles were able to escape, while another man, who was found hiding, was treated for minor injuries and has since been released.
