
The City of Brooklyn Park has appointed Tim Gladhill as its new Community Development Director, a move announced after the August 19 Council meeting. Mayor Hollies Winston and City Manager Jay Stroebel have both expressed their support for Gladhill, emphasizing his strategic thinking, and experience as beneficial for the city's economic development opportunities. Mayor Winston highlighted several major projects underway, including the Brooklyn Park BioTech Innovation District and the Blue Line Light Rail extension, saying, "Tim's extensive experience and strategic thinking are exactly what we need to capitalize on the development and redevelopment opportunities we have on the horizon," as stated by the City of Brooklyn Park.
City Manager Jay Stroebel expressed confidence in Gladhill's alignment with the city’s values and goals, particularly on equity. "Tim’s commitment to equity aligns perfectly with our City’s values and goals. With Tim at the helm, we are confident that Brooklyn Park is headed towards a brighter future," Stroebel said, as noted by the City of Brooklyn Park.
For his part, Gladhill has demonstrated enthusiasm for his new role, stating of his appointment, “I am excited to join such a welcoming and innovative community and look forward to bringing my experience and advocacy to help Brooklyn Park achieve our community and economic development goals."
