
Responding to a disturbing instance of animal abuse, Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested a man in Troutdale. The incident involving a 12-week-old Rottweiler-Bull Terrier mix was reported on August 19, according to the Multnomah County Sheriff's Office.
Caught on video, 25-year-old Merlyn Christopher Blair was seen kicking the young dog and yanking its leash with considerable force, as detailed by the Multnomah County Sheriff's Office. A witness provided the footage that led to Blair's arrest after he reprised the violence, this time on the witness's front door. After the call to 911, deputies promptly arrested Blair and booked him into the Multnomah County Detention Center on charges of second-degree animal abuse and second-degree disorderly conduct.s.
