A tragic incident on Wears Valley Road claimed the life of a motorcyclist on Tuesday night, after a collision caused by a truck driver now facing multiple charges. WVLT reported that 59-year-old Clark Franklin of Sevierville was pronounced dead at the scene following the crash that took place near Lona Drive around 9:30 p.m.
The Pigeon Forge Police Department shared details of the response, indicating that the truck driver, 48-year-old Dennis Grooms Jr., is being charged with driving under the influence, vehicular homicide, and failure to yield, among other charges.
