Arrested in West Chicago, Teondre Smith was taken into custody at 8:17 a.m. from the 4100 block of W. Congress Pkwy. Subsequently, and significantly later on the same day, Darian Maggette was found at 12:57 p.m. on the 1100 block of S. Albany Ave., authorities reported.

Both suspects were identified as the culprits of the aforementioned carjacking that unfolded in the 3200 block of W. North Avem as per the CPD. It was the combined efforts of eyewitness accounts and police investigation that led to their apprehension and subsequent charging.
