Two individuals sustained injuries following a stabbing incident at Woodruff Park in downtown Atlanta. The attack occurred on Tuesday morning, prompting a response from local authorities. According to a report by 11Alive, the Atlanta Police Department (APD) received a 911 call around 9:20 a.m. and upon arrival at the scene, found a woman with a stab wound to her body and a man who had also sustained a cut.
The woman was reportedly taken to the hospital where she was alert, conscious, and breathing. The man's injuries were treated right there, on the scene, by medical personnel. In an effort to quickly apprehend the suspect, APD was able to take a man into custody concerning the stabbing, as confirmed by the police department's aggravated assault unit. These events unfolded in the public space of 20 Auburn Ave NE, a common gathering area in the city.
