Community members are on high alert after the Chicago Police Department reported a missing teen from the Belmont Cragin neighborhood. Marellie Lugo, age 14, has been missing since August 12, the CPD said in a recent release. Described as having a medium complexion, brown eyes, and brown hair, Lugo stands at 4 feet 11 inches tall and weighs approximately 110 pounds, as detailed by the CPD. Notably, she was last seen with her hair worn straight, a change from her previous style.
Residents are urged to come forward with any information that might assist in locating Marellie. She was last seen near the 2800 block of N Meade. The Chicago Police Department, to intensify the search, has asked anyone with knowledge concerning the teenager's whereabouts to contact Area 5 Detectives at (312) 746-6554, or to call 911.
As the search continues, the CPD has also issued a NIC number for Marellie: M518051538, to help in the identification process. The Chicago Police Department shared the notification of her disappearance, which includes a case number JH-386464 for reference.
