The Knoxville Police Department has shared some details about the crash that took place around 11:50 a.m. Authorities believe that the van was driving east on Buffat Mill Road when it went through the Loves Creek intersection and subsequently crashed. The driver, an adult woman, was pronounced dead at the scene, and the two passengers sustained injuries, as confirmed by WVLT. Although initially described as life-threatening by WVLT, the injuries were later reported by WATE to be not believed to be life-threatening.
