
A tragic incident unfolded at Chicago's O'Hare International Airport, where a woman died after being crushed in machinery. According to reports by the Chicago Sun-Times, police confirmed the woman was found unresponsive early in the morning and pronounced dead at the scene.
The event occurred in a non-public baggage handling area at Terminal 5, known to service several international carriers. As per a statement obtained by NBC Chicago, the Chicago Fire Department responded to a call at approximately 8 a.m. about a person trapped in machinery. The Chicago Police Department has since begun to fully investigate the death.
The identity of the woman has not been officially released as the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office has yet to publicly identify her. However, she was described as being in her forties, as reported by Chicago Sun-Times.
