
A 19-year-old man was shot in an incident involving a Metro bus in South Cumminsville, Cincinnati, according to local authorities. The shooting occurred on Thursday evening around 7:30 p.m. on Elmore Street. It was later reported to have happened at approximately 8:13 p.m. at the intersection of Elmore and Beekman Streets, as detailed by WLWT. The victim sustained injuries that were not expected to be life-threatening and was shot in the stomach. He was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
The incident appeared to have stemmed from an earlier conflict at Government Square. Cincinnati Police Sergeant Mike Miller told FOX19, "We often have issues down there. Mostly juvenile based issues. Those issues presented tonight. Among all those issues taking place, this was one of them.” It was reported that the altercation preceded the shooting, and the man was believed to be targeted as a result of this dispute.
